Questions people ask
Can roommates who are not related get a shared credit line?
Yes. Squad Card is designed for any group of adults who trust each other, related or not. Each member applies as an individual within the squad and is assessed both alone and as a group.
What happens when a roommate moves out?
Their lane is frozen and settled, or converted into an individual payoff plan. The remaining members are re-assessed and the line adjusts. Nobody inherits another member's balance.
Do we all need good credit?
No. The point of the group assessment is that different strengths combine: one person's clean history, another's income, another's long file. A thin file is not a dealbreaker when the squad is strong.
Is Squad Card available now?
Not yet. Squad Card is on a waitlist while we finish the program with our issuing bank partner. Joining the waitlist saves your seat, lets you form your squad, and gives you a free Experian score and report while you wait.
Does joining the waitlist affect my credit?
No. Joining takes a first name and an email. If you choose to check your free Experian score, that is a soft inquiry you initiate yourself; it never appears to lenders and does not change your score.
What does it cost?
The waitlist and the free Experian score cost nothing and require no card. Card pricing, credit lines and terms will be published when the program launches and depend on approval by the issuing bank.
