What does Privacy Protect do?
It scans data broker and people-search sites for listings that match your name, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, then sends opt-out and deletion requests on your behalf and rechecks on a recurring cycle. A dashboard shows which sites have removed your data and which are still pending.
Is removal guaranteed?
No, and no honest service can promise it. A broker can refuse, demand more identity proof, take weeks or simply not answer, and brokers re-acquire data from public records, so a listing removed today can reappear later. Banrox reports the real outcome of every request, including refusals; the honest limits are written out in full.
What cannot be removed?
Court filings, property records and other public records that the law requires to remain public. Removal from one broker also does not remove you from a site that bought the data earlier, which is why the cycle repeats for as long as your plan is active.
What authority am I giving Banrox?
You appoint Banrox as your authorized agent for one limited purpose: submitting opt-out and deletion requests about you and receiving the responses. It cannot enter contracts, spend money or contact anyone else on your behalf, and you can revoke it at any time in your account settings.
Does Banrox have to send my information to brokers?
Usually a broker requires the very information you want removed before it will act. Banrox sends the minimum needed, tells you what was sent and does not use it for anything else; what is found about you is never sold or used for advertising.
What happens if I cancel?
