4. Messages about your account. While you hold an account we will send you service messages: security codes, sign in alerts, password resets, billing receipts, renewal reminders, the credit and identity alerts you switched on, and notices the law requires. These are not marketing and you cannot switch them off while the account is open, because they are how we protect you. You can close the account.
7. Connecting a bank account. Only if you choose to. If you connect an account, you do it through a bank data provider, your credentials are entered on that provider's screen, and Banrox never sees or stores your online banking username or password. The connection is read only: it can see balances and transactions, and it cannot move money. You can disconnect at any time from your account settings, which stops future access immediately.
8. Being matched with a lender, bank, card issuer or insurer. Nothing is sent to any provider unless you ask to be matched or request a quote. When you do, we pass that provider your name, email address, telephone number, postal code and the product and amount you asked about, so that it can respond to you. A referral never includes your Social Security number, a government identification number, a financial account number, the contents of your credit report, or a precise location. We do not put you into a shared list or a bidding exchange, and we do not send your details to companies you did not ask about. Because we may be paid when you click through, California law can treat that transfer as a sale, so we give you the opt out even though you asked for the introduction: send a Global Privacy Control signal, use the control in your privacy settings, or email [email protected] with the subject Do Not Sell or Share. The provider is an independent company and decides for itself, under its own criteria and its own privacy policy, whether to offer you anything.
9. Acting as your agent to remove your data. Only if you enable Privacy Protect. You would appoint Banrox as your authorised agent for the single purpose of sending opt out and deletion requests about you to data brokers and people search sites and receiving their answers. That authority covers nothing else: it does not let us enter contracts for you, spend money for you, or contact anyone other than those businesses. Brokers can refuse, delay or relist, and we report the real outcome including the failures. You can revoke it at any time.
10. What Banrox will never do with any of this. We do not sell your Social Security number, your government identification numbers, your financial account information, or the contents of your credit report, at any price, in any circumstance. We do not report anything about you to any credit bureau. We do not make a credit decision about you. We never charge you a fee to be matched with or introduced to a lender, bank, card issuer or insurer. And we will never call, text or email you asking for your password, your full Social Security number, or a one time security code. If someone does that while claiming to be Banrox, hang up and tell [email protected].
How to take any of this back. Credit report authorization: account settings, or [email protected], which stops pulls and monitoring. Electronic records: [email protected], and we tell you what stops. Marketing: reply STOP, unsubscribe, tell an agent, or [email protected]. Payments: cancel in Billing, one step, effective immediately. Bank connection: disconnect in account settings. Referral sharing: Global Privacy Control, your privacy settings, or [email protected]. Everything you hold: access, correction, deletion and appeal at State Privacy Rights. None of it costs anything and none of it changes the price or quality of anything else you have with us.
The record we keep. For each consent above we store the exact wording you were shown, the date and time, and the internet address it came from, so that either of us can prove later what was agreed. Ask for your copy at any time at [email protected] and we will send it free.
