U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card

Altitude Go is for people whose biggest everyday category is food. You earn 4X points on dining, takeout and restaurant delivery on your first $2,000 each quarter, and 2X at grocery stores, gas and EV charging stations, and on streaming. There is no annual fee. The caveat: the 4X rate is now capped each quarter, then dining earns 1X.

- You should skip it if you dine out far above $2,000 a quarter or travel abroad often, the cap and the foreign transaction fee work against you
U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card Review
Altitude Go pays its highest rate where most households actually spend: restaurants, takeout and delivery. This review covers the new quarterly cap on 4X dining, the supporting 2X categories, and who should apply.
How You Earn
Earning centers on food. The 4X dining rate now applies to your first $2,000 in combined eligible dining purchases each quarter, then drops to 1X.
- Grocery and gas categories exclude discount stores, supercenters and wholesale clubs
- Streaming earns 2X and also feeds the $15 annual streaming credit
| Category | Earn rate |
|---|---|
| Dining, takeout, restaurant delivery | 4X on first $2,000 per quarter, then 1X |
| Grocery stores and grocery delivery | 2X |
| Gas stations and EV charging stations | 2X |
| Streaming services | 2X |
| All other eligible purchases | 1X |
How You Redeem
Points redeem for cash back, travel, merchandise and gift cards through U.S. Bank's rewards center, with cash-equivalent value on statement credits.
- Redemption options and values are set by U.S. Bank's rewards program terms
- Points do not expire while the account stays active per the issuer's program rules
Benefits and Protections
The card carries Visa Signature protections and U.S. Bank's standard security features.
- $15 credit for annual streaming purchases after 11 consecutive months
- Zero fraud liability for unauthorized transactions
- Contactless chip payments
Who This Card Is For
This card fits households that cook less and order more, and students of value who want a strong first rewards card without a fee. Heavy travelers should look at a card without a foreign transaction fee.
- Best for food-first spenders under the quarterly cap
- Weak fit for frequent international travelers
- Pairs well with a flat-rate or travel card
